Bangladesh, Aug. 8 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines delayed its BG305 flight from Dhaka to Toronto after the aircraft operating the service developed a technical problem while making a stop at Rome's Fiumicino Airport.

The aircraft was operating flight BG306 from Toronto to Rome to Dhaka when the issue was detected at Fiumicino Airport. Biman said the aircraft underwent necessary technical inspections and repairs before it could continue to Dhaka.

The airline said the safety and security of passengers remained its top priority and the flight departed Rome for Dhaka after the fault was fully resolved and all required safety checks were completed.
