Biman completes Hajj operations without major disruptions
Bangladesh, July 2 -- According to the national flag carrier, Biman operated 98 pre-Hajj flights between April 18 and May 21, carrying 38,680 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. During the return phase, which ran from May 30 to July 1, the airline brought back 34,464 pilgrims on 104 post-Hajj flights and 12 scheduled flights.
In total, the airline transported 73,144 Hajj pilgrims during the pilgrimage season.
Despite the large-scale operation, Biman said it was able to continue its international and regional scheduled services throughout the Hajj season without any major flight cancellations or significant schedule changes.
