Bangladesh, Sept. 14 -- Bangladesh's Piton Industries Ltd. and Oman-based Modern Star Businesses LLC, operating as Star Drones, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to export electric motorcycles to Oman, exchange technology, and explore joint investment.

The agreement is expected to open a new avenue for Bangladesh's electric vehicle (EV) industry to enter the Middle Eastern market, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology on September 14.

As an initial step, Piton Industries will supply electric bikes from Bangladesh for the delivery fleet of Bees, a popular food delivery app in Oman.
