Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- Air India and Airbus have opened an advanced pilot training centre in Gurugram, Haryana, marking a major step in strengthening India's aviation training infrastructure as the country's rapidly expanding air travel market drives soaring demand for skilled pilots.

The 12,000-square-metre facility will train more than 5,000 new pilots over the next decade. It will feature 10 Full Flight Simulators (FFSs), advanced classrooms and briefing rooms, and will provide training for Airbus A320 and A350 aircraft. The courses are approved by both India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
