Air Canada pilot accused of flying without proper license for 17 years
Bangladesh, June 10 -- 59-year-old Geoffrey Wall from Ontario, who had been with Air Canada for 27 years since 1998, is accused of forging his credentials since 2009, when he was promoted to captain. The captain's role requires an airline transport pilot license (ATPL), which is obtained in part by passing a series of written exams.
Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich of Peel Regional Police drew a stark comparison: "This is very similar to a doctor that is licensed to practice family medicine but is doing brain surgery in their office."
