India, Aug. 4 -- In a landmark move towards sustainability, the Delhi Legislative Assembly has become the first in the country to function entirely on solar power. The Monsoon Session, which begins today, will be powered by a newly inaugurated 500-kilowatt rooftop solar plant, marking a significant shift in how government buildings approach energy use.

The solar facility was officially inaugurated on Sunday by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal.

Speaking at the event, Meghwal lauded the initiative as a convergence of sustainability, technological modernization, and democratic governance.
