New Delhi, May 6 -- Zebra Technologies announced an expanded channel strategy in India, targeting small and medium businesses in the manufacturing and retail sectors. The announcement came at the company's India Partner Summit.
The move coincides with the 10th anniversary of Zebra's PartnerConnect program, which currently connects over 10,000 partners globally. To mark the milestone, the company is introducing market-specific initiatives under PartnerConnect aimed at helping Indian partners reach micro, small, and medium enterprises, commonly referred to as MSMEs.
India has more than 70 million MSMEs, accounting for roughly 31% of national GDP and nearly 49% of exports. Despite their scale, 97% of registered businesses in this segment are classified as micro-enterprises, most of which are still in early stages of digital adoption.
Zebra's strategy focuses on enabling these businesses to move directly from manual operations to connected, automated workflows, bypassing incremental modernization steps. The company is positioning its Mid-Market program within PartnerConnect as the mechanism for this, giving resellers tools to address the specific technology needs of manufacturing and retail customers.
"India's MSME sector is a powerful growth engine, yet many enterprises remain fragmented and lack access to scalable technology," said Subramaniam Thiruppathi, Country Lead, India and Subcontinent, Zebra Technologies. "To remain competitive and expand their footprint, businesses must adopt purpose-built, future-proof tech solutions that can grow alongside them."
The expanded program gives partners structured resources to deliver solutions that can scale alongside customer growth, with the goal of reducing operational bottlenecks as businesses move upmarket.
