New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- Confluent has launched Confluent Intelligence, a new service designed to help organizations build and operate real-time, context-aware artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The product, available on Confluent Cloud, allows businesses to stream and process both historical and live data continuously, delivering this context directly into AI applications.
The company says the service aims to close the AI context gap, which occurs when models operate without access to up-to-date or relevant data. By using continuous data streams, Confluent Intelligence allows AI systems to make decisions based on current information rather than static datasets.
Confluent Intelligence is a fully managed platform built on Apache Kafka and Apache Flink. It includes three main components. The Real-Time Context Engine streams structured, verified data to any AI model or application through Kafka, Flink, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Streaming Agents feature allows teams to create and deploy event-driven AI agents that process and act on data in real time. The third component provides built-in machine learning functions for tasks such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and real-time analysis directly within Flink SQL.
Jay Kreps, Co-founder and CEO at Confluent, said, "Off-the-shelf models are powerful, but without the continuous flow of data, they can't deliver decisions that are timely and uniquely valuable to a business. That's where data streaming becomes essential."
