Sri Lanka, Oct. 12 -- The Western Province (WP) Youth Badminton Team stamped their authority as the Island's best young shuttlers when they emerged unbeaten champions at the 35th National Youth Sports Festival 2025, organised by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) and held at Malabe.

The tournament, which coincided with the government's Clean Sri Lanka Program, featured 25 District teams from across the country. But from the opening round, WP made their intentions clear, sweeping through the fixtures with total dominance before defeating Galle District in a one-sided final.
