Victim's brother believed to be target
SriLanka, Sept. 13 -- Police suspect that the brother of the person injured in Friday's grenade attack in Dehiwala was the intended target and that the attacker mistakenly threw the grenade at the neighbouring house where the person's children were staying.
Two children were killed in the attack on a house at Sirisangabo Mawatha, Dehiwala, early Friday (11) morning, while their 55-year-old father, Nalin Thusantha Perera, was injured and is receiving treatment at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital. Police said Perera has no criminal record or pending cases.
