Sri Lanka, Dec. 14 -- How Sri Lankans have been coping with the aftermath of 'Ditwah' by building their homes and picking the pieces to be back on their feet is amazing, said U.S. Ambassador Julie Chung.
She was speaking as guest of honour at a ceremony to mark ten years of Uber's presence in Sri Lanka.
"What is touching is not about governments coming together but about people, communities and the private sector helping each other," Chung said.
The Ambassador referred to the commitment of US$ 2 million by the US through the World Food Program to support Sri Lanka.
