Srilanka, Nov. 23 -- Sri Lanka will assume the Chairmanship of the Asia Tea Alliance (ATA) for 2026-2027, with Chairman, Tea Smallholders Development Authority (TSHDA), Nimal Udugampola, taking on the mantle.

This coincides with Colombo hosting the sixth ATA Annual Meeting at the Lotus Tower on November 27, convened by Managing Director, Solidaridad Asia, Dr. Shatadru Chattopadhayay and followed by the Asia International Tea Summit 2025 on the theme "Tea Reimagined: Regenerative, Resilient and Carbon Free."

Minister of Plantations and Community Infrastructure, Samantha Vidyarathna will be the chief guest.
