Srilanka, Feb. 15 -- In a major boost to regional connectivity, Sri Lanka and India are set to launch direct flights between Colombo and Ahmedabad in April 2026, aimed at strengthening tourism, pilgrimage, and business ties between the two nations.

The new route, operated by SriLankan Airlines, will offer Sri Lankans easier access to Gujarat's key religious and cultural sites, while facilitating smoother travel for Indian tourists exploring Sri Lanka's historical landmarks.
