Srilanka, Oct. 19 -- Sri Lanka's moves against corruption and organised crime are improving its stability, according to the Economic Crime and Geopolitics Index (ECGI) framework, Asanga Abeyagoonasekera said.

The Executive Director of the South Asia Foresight Network (SAFN) in Washington, D.C., said that the National People's Power (NPP) Government's pursuit of high-profile corruption cases and dismantling of criminal networks addresses a core source of vulnerability: the nexus between political actors and organised crime that can channel money and resources to destabilise the State.
