Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- European leisure carrier Smartwings will commence flights to Colombo from Warsaw, Poland via Muscat in Oman from December this year, a spokesman for the airline said yesterday.

The airline will have the right to pick up passengers for the Muscat-Colombo-Muscat sector. Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will be used for this new weekly service. The flight will leave Warsaw at 0530 hrs every Tuesday and arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by 2055 hrs. The return flight will leave for Muscat and Warsaw at 2155 hrs, with a next day (0540 hrs) arrival in the Polish capital.
