Sri Lanka, Feb. 8 -- The Sri Lanka chapter of South Asian Women in Media (SAWM-SL) will host a discussion on Tuesday, February 10, examining how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is simultaneously transforming journalism while being weaponised against women in public life.

The event, at the Mandarina Hotel, Colombo, centres on new research by Dr. Sanjana Hattotuwa titled 'Both a Tool and a Weapon: AI's Impact on Journalism and TFGBV' and explores how generative AI is reshaping newsroom practices while enabling Technology- Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV).
