Sri Lanka, Dec. 14 -- Russia again extended its hand to Sri Lanka last week by sending an aircraft with humanitarian aid to support the country's relief and recovery efforts after the deadly cyclone Ditwah ravaged almost all districts last month.
A plane carrying 35 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on Wednesday andwas welcomed by the Ambassador of Russia, Levan Dzhagaryan, Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Anura Karunathilaka and Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General (Retd) Aruna Jayasekara.
