Sri Lanka, Jan. 4 -- Havelock Sports Club with a powerful combination of youth and experience are making a determined effort to clinch the 2025/26 Inter-Club League Rugby Championship.
The last year League runners-up have made steady progress with three good victories so far, and are among the top three teams, capable of lifting the title for the season.
Even then, the Havies had a shock start to the season as they were held to a 31-31 draw by Navy SC in the curtain-raiser match of the tournament on their home grounds.
Havelock SC also suffered a major setback when their regular Captain and dynamic fly half Sandesh Jayawickrama was ruled out for the current season with a fractured hand.
