Sri Lanka, Oct. 26 -- The Ilangai Thamil Arasuk Katchi (ITAK) has expressed its deep sorrow over the passing of Suseelavathy (Susili) Wilson, who died on October 8 at the age of 97.
Susili was the eldest child of statesman S.J.V. Chelvanayakam, founder of ITAK, and played an active role in supporting the party's campaigns during the 1950s and 1960s alongside her mother.
A graduate of the University of Peradeniya, she married Alfred Jeyaratnam Wilson, a distinguished academic and a respected figure in Sri Lankan political studies.
