SriLanka, April 12 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has issued a directive to the Department of Railways on Wednesday (8) following a series of complaints regarding the sale of goods above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) at railway stations, and hawkers in trains. According to the CAA, the action is being taken following the large number of complaints received by commuters in the recent few days. The CAA has ordered the immediate issuance of circulars and written guidelines to all authorised canteen owners and mobile vendors, regarding this matter.
