Srilanka, Dec. 28 -- D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo stunned bigger rivals to finish third in the junior national category, missing the runner-up spot by only two points at the National and Junior National Short Course Swimming Championships 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union and held at the Isipathana College Swimming Pool Complex in Colombo.
Competing against much larger squads, the D. S. Senanayake quartet collected 275 points. Leading the charge was Tharuka Salgado, who delivered an outstanding performance.
He won the 100m breaststroke, finished second in both the 50m and 200m breaststroke and added a third-place finish in the 100m individual medley, emerging as the team's top points' scorer.
