Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- The Social Scientists' Association (SSA) will host a discussion on Mahamevnawa: A New Buddhist Movement by independent researcher Dr. Sankajaya Nanayakkara on Wednesday, September 30.
The discussion will be held from 5 to 6.30 p.m. at the Social Scientists' Association, 380/86, Sarana Road, Colombo 7.
The discussion will examine the rise of the Mahamevnawa Bhavana Asapuwa, led by Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda, which gained prominence in Sri Lanka during the post-war period and has since developed a network of branches locally and internationally.
