Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) visited the residence of Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake on Parliament Road yesterday (29), after he failed to appear before the Commission despite being summoned.

Karunanayake had been summoned on three occasions-July 16, July 30 and August 28-in connection with an ongoing investigation, but did not appear before the Commission. When CIABOC officials visited his residence yesterday, Karunanayake was reportedly not at home. Residents informed the officials that he had left for Nuwara Eliya.
