Sri Lanka, Oct. 26 -- The survey on virtual asset service providers conducted by the Central Bank's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has been successful with a large number of responses from individuals and corporates which will be used to identify the transactions and conduct investigations, said an official of the FIU last week.

Responding to a media query on the country's stance with regard to the use of the virtual currency, the FIU official said there has been a good response to the survey questions which the Unit continues to receive and added that the survey findings on virtual assets use will be presented to the Finance Ministry (FM) for regulatory and legal provisions.
