Srilanka, Oct. 19 -- The Movement for National Land and Agricultural Reform (MONLAR), in a statement issued to mark World Food Day, said the new Government's food production strategy fails to guarantee food security or address malnutrition in the country.
World Food Day, observed globally on October 16, is meant to highlight the importance of ending hunger and ensuring access to nutritious food for all. However, millions of people around the world continue to suffer or die from hunger, malnutrition, poverty, climate change, and unsustainable debt.
