Srilanka, Aug. 16 -- Shiran Basik, identified by the Police as a major drug kingpin, will be questioned by the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) under a 72-hour detention order after being deported from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Friday.

The 48-year-old, a resident of Dehiwala, was wanted in connection with several criminal offences in Sri Lanka. He was arrested by UAE authorities in Dubai on May 26 while allegedly possessing images of Iranian attacks on the UAE during the ongoing conflict.
