Traditional stone bus shelter near Chamundi Hill Arch Gate soon
Mysuru, June 26 -- MLA G.T. Devegowda's Rs. 17 lakh project to be completed before first Ashada Friday
A new bus passenger shelter, designed in traditional architectural style, is coming up near the Arch Gate at Chamundi foothill ahead of Ashada festivities, when lakhs of devotees visit the famed Hill shrine.
The shelter is expected to be ready before the first Ashada Friday on July 17. To facilitate the movement of pilgrims arriving from across the country, Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD) has sanctioned Rs. 17 lakh from special funds for the project.
Designed entirely in stone, the structure will reflect Mysuru's heritage architecture and blend with the city's distinctive cultural character.
