India, Oct. 18 -- Mysuru, Oct. 18 (MTY&DM)- Two days after a tiger attacked 43-year-old villager Mahadevegowda near Badagalapura village along the forest border in Saragur taluk, Mysuru district, Forest Department officials successfully trapped the suspected tiger on Friday forenoon.

The operation, led by Veterinarian Dr. Ramesh, deployed four elephants, three of which had participated in the recently concluded Mysuru Dasara festivities, to assist in the combing operation. The team resumed their search in the morning and spotted an 11-year-old female tigress, suspected of having attacked Mahadevegowda on Thursday, hiding in a thickly grown bush along the forest border.
