Mysuru, Sept. 6 -- Cyber criminals, on the pretext of providing Senior Citizen Pension Card, have duped a 63-year-old man of Rs. 5 lakh.
The senior citizen, who lost his money, is Lokesh (name changed), a resident of Ramakrishnanagar in city.
On Sept. 2, when Lokesh was browsing his Facebook account, he came across a website link offering Senior Citizen Pension Card and clicked on it.
Later, an unidentified person called Lokesh over the phone and collected the details of Lokesh's full name, age, bank accounts, PIN numbers and other personal details.
After some time, cyber criminals transferred Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 4 lakh from Lokesh's bank account, thus cheating him, following which Lokesh lodged a complaint at CEN Police Station.
