Mysuru, Sept. 11 -- A 50-year-old two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot when a tipper vehicle reportedly hit his electric scooter near Maharana Prathap Singh Circle on Lalitha Mahal Road early this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Singh, a resident of Kalyangiri, who was running a provision and vegetable shop in the locality.

At about 7.30 am, Manjunath had gone to the wholesale vegetable market near Mall of Mysore on M.G. Road, where he purchased vegetables. He was returning home on his electric scooter (KA-09-KB-9795) when the accident occurred.
