Mysuru, Sept. 9 -- After rejuvenation in 2018, the lake is back in a deplorable state, with residents describing it as a stinking cesspool covered with green growth. Residents have also complained that the condition of the lake has made it difficult to walk around the waterbody.
Manu Kumar, Director of 'Samana Manaskara Vedike' and a resident of the area, said that the sewage inflow was the root cause of the lake's deterioration.
Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, he said that the group was planning to submit past documentation and meet the Deputy Commissioner this week to seek a sustainable, long-term solution.
