India, Oct. 25 -- Bengaluru, Oct. 25- R.S. Krishnaswamy (RSK), son of late R.K. Srinivasan and nephew of acclaimed writer R.K. Narayan and renowned cartoonist R.K. Laxman, passed away here early this morning after a brief illness. He was 84.
He is survived by his sons, Chetan and Kartik. His wife, Prabha, predeceased him.
Last rites were held in Bengaluru this afternoon, according to family sources.
Popularly known as Thumbi among family and friends, Krishnaswamy was a distinguished professional who held senior leadership positions in several reputed organisations over the course of his long career.
