Mysuru, Sept. 11 -- District Congress gets new President
In an overhaul of the District Party Units, the AICC on Wednesday announced a new list of District Congress Presidents for 35 organisational districts in Karnataka.
According to the list, veteran Congress leader R. Murthy continues as Mysuru City Congress President while Beerihundi Basavanna is the new Mysuru District Congress President, replacing Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar.
Basavanna, a Kuruba community leader, is also a former ZP President and is closely associated with former CM Siddaramaiah.
In other appointments, J. Yogesh has been named as Chamarajanagar District Congress President, Kumar Koppa as Mandya District President, G.B. Shashidhar as Hassan District President while Dharmaj...
