Mysuru, June 25 -- The Forest Department has invited public objections to a proposal seeking permission to remove 32 trees along National Highway-766 (NH-766) on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road for road safety improvement works planned by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
In a public notice issued under Section 8(3) of the Karnataka Tree Preservation Act, 1976 (as amended in 2014), the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Mysuru Regional Division, has announced that objections from citizens will be accepted until July 2, 2026.
