Mysuru, Sept. 21 -- FIR against ex-MP at T. Narasipur

Former MP Prathap Simha has accused Home Minister Priyank Kharge of exerting pressure on the T. Narasipur Police and getting a false FIR registered against him.

Speaking during the Ganesha idol immersion procession in Mysuru yesterday, Simha said, Inspector Dhananjaya had provoked the Hindus by using unacceptable language, but instead of taking action against the Inspector, the top brass of the Police, allegedly under pressure from the Home Minister, registered an FIR against him.
