Mysuru, Aug. 10 -- Senior citizens, young mothers wait for days in long lines as pensions halted

With the State Government putting on hold the pensions of over 41,000 beneficiaries in the city and district, who are receiving monthly financial benefits under various social security schemes following a revision, the deprived pensioners continue to throng the Taluk Office in Nazarbad.

As many as 41,000 out of 1,20,000 beneficiaries of pension schemes were left out after being categorised as ineligible during an intensive revision drive launched by the authorities following a Government direction.
