India, Oct. 25 -- Mysuru, Oct. 25 - A notorious serial house burglar from Mysuru, wanted in over 50 cases across Mysuru and Bengaluru, has finally been arrested.
The arrest was made by a team from Vidyaranyapuram Police Station, Bengaluru, who nabbed the accused in Mysuru after weeks of coordinated surveillance. Now the Police are moving to recover stolen valuables worth Rs. 2 crore.
The accused, identified as Syed Aslam (son of Syed Jani), residing at No. 458, 2nd Stage, Rajivnagar, Mysuru, had long evaded capture, frustrating the Bengaluru, Mysuru District and City Police teams.
His string of precisely executed burglaries, leaving little forensic trace, had kept investigators guessing for months.
