Sanand (Gujarat), April 1 -- PM Modi inaugurates Rs. 3,300 crore OSAT facility at Sanand, Gujarat

Kaynes Technology, a Mysuru-based electronic design and manufacturing company (Kaynes Semicon), has begun commercial production at its semiconductor OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) Plant in Sanand, Gujarat, following its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Mar. 31.

The facility will manufacture advanced intelligent power modules for automotive and industrial applications. Built with an investment of about Rs. 3,300 crore, the Plant is expected to produce nearly 60 lakh chips per day, significantly boosting domestic semiconductor manufacturing and supporting local economic development.
