Mysuru, Aug. 18 -- Four more cases have been registered against Soundar Raj alias Chinnathambi, who is accused of cheating thousands of customers by luring them with advertisements offering gold loans at low interest rates and thus cheating them after getting their gold ornaments pledged with him.
While two cases were registered at Nazarbad Police Station, two more cases were registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station on Sunday.
A woman from Arakalgud in Hassan district, in her complaint, has stated that on Apr. 14, she had come to Chinnathambi-owned DGF Gold and Diamonds located in Ittigegud to pledge her 40-gram gold chain. She has alleged that her gold chain was melted to check its purity without obtaining her consent.
