India, Oct. 18 -- Mysuru, Oct. 18 (RK&BCT)- In a major encroachment clearance and property recovery operation this morning, Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) reclaimed prime land worth Rs. 30 crore in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage. The drive, carried out under the directions of MDA Commissioner K.R. Rakshith and Secretary K. Johnson, was led by Zone-4 Executive Engineer Mahesh at Mysuru Taluk, Kasaba Hobli, Hinkal Survey No. 237/2B and Hinkal Survey No. 238/2, near the Saptamathruka Temple.

In total, 2.20 acres of land were recovered. The current market rate in the area is approximately Rs. 8,000 per sq. ft. Squatters were evicted and illegal structures were demolished using earthmovers under Police protection.
