MCC sticks notices on 382 abandoned vehicles
Mysuru, Aug. 26 -- The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has begun initiating action on vehicles which are abandoned on roadsides, footpaths and other public places. Yesterday, notices were stuck to 382 vehicles found abandoned, with MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha launching the drive.
It may be recalled, Star of Mysore had published reports titled 'Action & Auction.' on Aug. 5 and 'Car. Garbage!' on July 13, highlighting the issue and the inconvenience caused by the abandoned vehicles.
The MCC Commissioner had served a deadline of Aug. 15 for the vehicle owners to voluntarily clear their vehicles - unused, scrap or abandoned - parked on footpaths, road side and public places since a longer time. Any failure on the part of vehicle owners to h...
