Mysuru, Aug. 8 -- In her submission through a team of advocates, Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner M.K. Savitha told the Supreme Court that steps have been initiated for the conservation and restoration of Devaraja Market and Lansdowne Building, in accordance with the Court's May 4, 2026 order.

Both INTACH and IIT Roorkee had found that the two heritage structures were prima facie capable of being restored, subject to a detailed scientific assessment and a comprehensive conservation plan.

Following the Court's direction, the MCC wrote to Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) on July 7, seeking preparation of a comprehensive action plan for repairs, renovation, retrofitting and restoration.
