In the backdrop of the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA), formerly Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), cancelling site allotments made under the 50:50 alternative and compensatory ratio, Krishnaraja (KR) MLA T.S. Srivatsa has urged the State Government to set up a helpline to provide clear information to affected site owners.
In a letter to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and the Urban Development Department Secretary, Srivatsa said MUDA had distributed thousands of alternative sites under the 50:50 ratio for several years in violation of rules.
He welcomed the Government's decision to cancel the allotments and annul illegal sale deeds and khatas, describing it as a strong corrective measure. "...
