Mysore/Mysuru, April 2 -- Officials had earlier indicated that the 5.8 acres of KSIC land in T. Narasipur could be easily returned to Sericulture Department through official correspondence.

The process requires the Chief Secretary to write to DYES, following which T. Narasipur Tahsildar can amend RTC records by removing Sports Department's name and restoring it to Sericulture Department.

Sericulture Department maintains that the land is urgently required for activities including coal storage, ash disposal and the construction of an Effluent Treatment Plant. It has therefore sought the return of the land from Sports Department.
