Mysuru, Sept. 27 -- Energy Minister K.J. George has directed officials to make the illumination planned for this year's Dasara more attractive and innovative than last year and ensure that power supply is not affected.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting for the 2026 Dasara celebrations at the Karnataka Engineers' Association auditorium in Kadakola on Friday, George said lakhs of tourists are expected to visit Mysuru and the illumination should provide them with a memorable experience.

"Last year's illumination was well received. This year, it should be different, innovative and even more attractive," he said.
