Mysore/Mysuru, Oct. 15 -- The Fifth Annual Cauvery Aarti will be held on Oct. 17 at 6.30 pm at Talakad in T. Narasipur taluk of Mysuru district.

Organised by Sri Balakrishnananda Mahasamsthanam Shuka-Shankarapeetham, the event draws inspiration from the sacred Ganga Aarti of Kashi and aims to honour the lifeline of Karnataka - River Cauvery.

In preparation for the ceremony, a preliminary meeting of community leaders was held at Sri Rama Mandira in Mysuru's Jayanagar. The Shuka-Shankarapeetham will lead the Cauvery Aarti, which is expected to attract thousands of devotees.

A cultural programme will precede the Aarti, beginning at 5 pm, featuring performances by 500 artistes including renditions of "Ayagiri Nandini" and "Shiva Tandava." ...
