India, June 5 -- Mysuru, June 5 - Elephant attacks continue to haunt villages in Kodagu district. In yet another tragic incident this morning, Sandhya (51), wife of retired IPS officer and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Annalamada Sunil Achayya, was killed in a wild elephant attack at her coffee estate near Thithimathi.

Sandhya was at the estate in Konanakatte, bordering Thithimathi and Anechowkur Range of the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, along with two estate workers. She had arrived in Kodagu from Bengaluru yesterday to attend a family function and visited the plantation this morning.
