Mysuru, Aug. 11 -- Continuing with their protests demanding Cabinet berth for former Minister and Narasimharaja (NR) Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait, hundreds of supporters of Sait and Congress workers staged a protest at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle (Highway Circle) in the city last evening. As the protesters staged relay protests and set an used tyre on fire, Police detained the protesters and released them later.

Earlier, the protesters, who staged a sit-in demonstration in front of Highway Circle, held placards and raised slogans in support of their leader. They raised slogans like 'Justice for Tanveer Sait, six-time MLA', 'Ayyayyo Anyaya' (Injustice) among others, besides making a vain bid to disrupt free flow of traffic.
