Mysuru, Oct. 10 -- After issuing a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) instead of registering an FIR, the V.V. Puram Police summoned complainant V. Prajwal to the Police Station again this morning.

Following the publication of a report on the incident in Mysuru Mithra, sister concern of Star of Mysore, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar instructed V.V. Puram Inspector Vivekananda to handle the case appropriately.

Acting on the Commissioner's instructions, the Inspector called Prajwal to the Station and explained the procedure. He told Prajwal that under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), an FIR in a non-cognisable case could be registered only with prior permission from the Court.
