Mysuru, June 15 -- BJP MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan blamed the Congress for rising prices of essential commodities and food items, and claimed that fuel supply disruptions linked to the ongoing West Asia conflict would not have arisen had the country not been partitioned.

Addressing a press conference at a private hotel here this morning, he said the Congress Government in Karnataka was responsible for the increase in prices of essential goods in State.

Highlighting the achievements of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken several measures to control inflation during the global crisis.

"PM Modi has completed 12 years in office because of the trust repose...
